After this, the word of the LORD came to Abram in a vision: “Do not be afraid, Abram. I am your shield, your very great reward.” Genesis 15:1 (NIV)
Storms do more than bring gloomy days. The winds prune the trees. In fact, fires (started by lightning) are a natural part of the circle of forest life. Rain has many benefits as well; all are a part of Gods grand design. The same goes for the storms in our lives. Our faith grows in troubled times. The way we handle our storms is a direct reflection of our faith in Gods eyes. Others witness our living testimony as Christians in how we handle adversity.
After this, the word of the LORD came to Abram in a vision: “Do not be afraid, Abram. I am your shield, your very great reward.” Genesis 15:1 (NIV). What a reward for the faithful. Understanding the blessings a storm can bring to our life, helps us weather the storm and gives us the ability to dance in the rain.
Lord thank you for the opportunity to grow in faith and wisdom.
