Ten Commandments Not Needed to Obey God Christian
For the whole law is fulfilled in one word: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” Gal 5:14 ESV
There are many laws on the books that offer consequences for unloving and unfit parents. These laws are designed to protect children from harm. These laws have as their spirit, the reason or intent they were authored, the protection of children. Laws that protect Children are written out of love. Most parents are not even aware of these written laws. The truth is, good parents, do not need to know these laws even exist to love their children. Without even being aware of it, when they raise their children in the spirit of love, they by default fulfill the written laws of which they are completely unaware.
Love does no wrong to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfilling of the law. Rom 13:10 ESV
Love is the Spirit of all of God’s law.
Romans 13:8-10 tell us that love fulfills the Ten Commandments. This reveals to us that love is the Spirit, the intent of the author, of the Ten Commandments.
God calls all believers as ministers of the New Covenant. A ministry of the Spirit of the law and not the letter of the law.
Who has made us sufficient to be ministers of a new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit. For the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life. 2 Cor 3:6 ESV
But now we are released from the law, having died to that which held us captive, so that we serve in the new way of the Spirit and not in the old way of the written code. Rom 7:6 ESV
And you show that you are a letter from Christ delivered by us, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts. 2 Cor 3:3 ESV
