Can You Pray This? Kathy Foster
Dear Heavenly Father, we pray to be closer to You; therefore, let us struggle and sufferif this is what is necessary to draw us closer to You. Take away all we have and who we have if it draws us closer to You. Because Dear Lord our God, amidst the extreme heartache we will surely endure in this life, in weaknesses and in our losses, in our sickness and suffering, our desire is to draw closer to You. Even in our losses and sufferings, we rejoice in knowing Your strong and loving presence comforts us.
We pray for Your will and not our own; therefore, we pray not for our own goals to be reached, neither for success nor riches. We know that life cannot be perfect in this sin-infested world, so may perfection come in conforming, surrendering, and submitting to You. If comfort takes us away from Your will,then take away the comfort. Make us and mold us for Your glory. We pray that we accept all NOs from You as part of Your will, and rejoice knowing that "God has provided something better" (Hebrews 11:40 NKJV).
We thank You for Your continuous outpouring of blessings. May we not grumble or become complacent. May we not adhere to our enemy's push for us to proclaim "More!" May the core and breath of our blessings be in blessing You and blessing Your name. May our blessings be in giving You all glory and praise. No matter our struggles, in Jesus' name, we will never be condemned. It's all because of Your love, our God. "For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us" (Romans 8:18 NKJV) .
