WHOLENESS - Deepika Emmanuel Sagar We are made ‘whole’ by the finished work of Christ.
All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting men’s sins against them’ (2 Cor 5:18-19a). God reconciles us back to Himself by removing the gap created by sin. It is through our faith in Christ that we seek God and find Him. As we make room in our hearts for God to come in and reside, we are made whole by His grace. This wholeness fills us with a peace that does not come through conscious effort. A peace that does not depend on the circumstances of our life, because it is from God. It is then that we start placing God at the centre of our life, knowing that every good thing comes from the Lord (James 1:17). As we continue to seek His face and will, He blesses us with His wisdom to do what is right in His eyes, and in the end, always best for us. As we change our perspective towards life, seeking His presence first, we feel the ‘wholeness’ and the purpose of our creation. We are nothing without His presence in our lives.
PRAYER: Lord, I confess my sins and deep need for you. Thank you for not counting my sins and drawing me home. Help me to grow in you. Amen.
