Where is Your Dwelling Place? (Part 3 of 3 - Psalm 91) Karen Pourbabaee Are you still living as a nomad, pitching your tent here and there? Or have you found your true dwelling place with the Most High? His door is always open. Come on in.
“You shall tread upon the asp and the viper, trample the lion and dragon.” Psalm 91:13 NAB
Tread: To tread is to crush—clear victory. God’s Word is clear in denoting all types of serpents, lions, and dragons as our spiritual opponents, not to mention the dangers to our physical bodies. But in all this, we are given victory. “For it is the Lord, your God, who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies and give you victory.” (Deut.20:4). “…the victory that conquers the world is our faith.” (1 John 5:4) Keep the faith in these fearful times.
“Whoever clings to Me I will deliver. Whoever knows My name I will set on high.” (Ps. 91:14)
Cling: Best definition—remain persistently or stubbornly faithful to. There’s a promise about clinging in Psalm 63:8: “My soul clings to you, Your right hand upholds me.” My spiritual eyes see Him picking us up and setting us upon a mountaintop, away from the ravages of our day. When you know the Name above all Names, He will set you on high.
“All who call upon Me I will answer; I will be with them in distress; I will deliver them and give them honor.” (Ps. 91:15)
Call: No busy signals or declines on the heavenly hotline. The Father promises to answer when we call. But we must call to summon His presence in our distress. He will deliver.
“With length of days I will satisfy them and show them My saving power.” (Ps. 91:16)
It’s time to seek shelter with the Most High God. Pray Psalm 91 every day. It’s His great psalm of protection and promise. Every Word declares His saving power!
I will cling to You, Lord, my saving power! Amen. Contact Karen and read more HERE. |
