What Me Worry? - CD Swanson Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee. Isaiah 26:3-4 (KJV) Worry, and anxious thoughts enter our minds, sometimes with an urgency, and frequency, that can seem alarming and overwhelming. But, it’s important to try and remember, most of the time, worry only means worry, not the real probability of calamity. They are just “thoughts” and nothing more. I’m specifically referring to unwarranted thoughts of worry and anxiety.
Anxiety and worry are not from the LORD, and we do not fight against flesh and blood (Ephesians 6:12 KJV). Instead, we wrestle with battles in our minds. Spiritual warfare is nothing new, and quite real, existing since the beginning of time. How can a person of faith fight anxiety, and worry? We should run to the LORD, and lay it down at His feet. The LORD wants us to cast our cares unto Him, because “He cares for us” (1 Peter 5:7 KJV), and wants to bring us peace. After all, He is the Prince of peace.
How do we free ourselves? By being in His Word and putting on the Gospel Armor in Ephesians 6:10-20. We trust God, knowing He is victorious and has conquered and defeated death. And, we praise Him in the battle. These are our weapons of victory.
We are victorious through Christ, Amen! (1 Corinthians 15:57 KJV)
“Thank You LORD for Your protection, and our Gospel Armor, help us to remember through Christ, we are victorious, and that You Reign Victorious, in Jesus name, Amen.” CD Swanson – Writes for His glory, has a website ministry, contributes to various magazines, and has written 22 books, her heart is writing devotionals.
