What Does it Mean to Be Born of Incorruptible Seed? Michael Edwards
In Adam, humanity is born of corruptible seed by the will of the flesh of man. Those who choose to reject the saving hand of God, choose to forever exchange the glory of the incorruptible God for an image in the form of corruptible man. Professing to be wise, they became fools, and exchanged the glory of the incorruptible God for an image in the form of corruptible man and of birds and four-footed animals and crawling creatures. Rom 1:22-23 NAS
But those who are born of God, are born of incorruptible seed.
who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God. John 1:13 NAS Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever. 1 Peter 1:23 KJV
Just the word incorruptible, speaks volumes, and the Greek word used in the New Testament for incorruptible is defined much as we might think. Incorruptible means incorruptible and much more:
Strongs 862 - aphthartos - Definition: undecaying, imperishable - Usage: indestructible, imperishable, incorruptible; hence: immortal. If you have accepted Jesus as your Savior, you are born-again. Just stop and consider that your Spirit is born of God, born of incorruptible seed. Meditate on this truth and really let it sink deep into your heart and mind. Your Spirit has been redeemed, justified, made righteous, sanctified, made holy, set apart, perfected and complete, by the precious incorruptible blood of Jesus.
For as much as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot: 1Peter 1:18-19 KJV
