Faith comes by hearing the Word of God. Fear comes by hearing the word of man.
Disarmed and defeated (Col 2:15), our enemies' only chance to keep us down is to confuse, overwhelm, and demoralize us through lies and deception. He desires to make himself larger in our mind's eye than our loving Father. He wants us walking by sight and not by faith, our eyes and thoughts fixed on anything, but Jesus finished work and promises.
As Christians, we fight from victory, not for victory. The battle is for minds and our hope and peace in this world, rise and fall based on our thoughts. If we find ourselves fearful and worried, our thinking is wrong.
We are destroying speculations and every lofty thing raised up against the knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ, 2 Cor 10:5
Who we believe and what we are thinking about is our choice. We can be passive and allow our thoughts to focus on the enemy's lies, aiding his deception and digging a deep hole for ourselves. Or, we can make an intentional choice to reject his lies, as we believe and trust in the Lord with all of our heart and view our struggles as the pathway they are to a deeper relationship with Jesus.
Trust in the LORD with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight. Pro 3:5-6 NAS
God is still God and in ultimate charge, His timing and ways higher than our ways. He calls us to trust Him with childlike faith as we rest in His eternal love and abundant grace.
Make the right choice today; let not your heart be troubled or afraid. as you dive headfirst into the ocean of God's eternal love, abundant grace, peace, power, and hope.
