Our Spiritual GPS Part One: Navigating His Kingdom - Karen Pourbabaee “Your Word is a lamp for my feet, a light for my path.” Psalm 119:105 NAB
Is there any guidance more clear to you, Christian, than Psalm 119:105? This is God’s sure promise to shine a light upon your way. To hear His voice. To know the next step. To walk with assurance of His will.
Many have heard the acronym for BIBLE---basic instructions before leaving earth. God’s got everything covered. There really is an instruction waiting for you today. Do you need answers now, not tomorrow? Or do you have a head full of answers and plans, but still don’t feel at peace? God is not a God of confusion, but of peace. (1 Corinthians 14:33) Don’t move without the peace of God in your heart. The Lord is speaking to you: “Many are the plans in a man’s heart, but the counsel of the Lord, it will stand.” (Proverbs 19:21)
Do you want to walk with firm purpose? To walk in His personal Word for you? To be covered under the shadow of His wing? Wait on the Lord until you receive His Word. If God’s Word is a light for you, why would you choose to walk in dimness? Don’t walk as the wicked---“But the way of the wicked is like darkness, they do not know on what makes them stumble.” (Proverbs 4:19 NABRE) Walk as the righteous do, in the light of the Lord. “The path of the just is like shining light, that grows in brilliance till perfect day.”(Proverbs 4:18 NABRE)
To navigate in His kingdom, activate your spiritual navigation system by opening up His Word. Turn on the lamp that will guide you and scatter peace on your path.
Your Word, O Lord, is a lamp for my feet, a light for my path. Amen.
