Unshakable Faith – Toni Babcock “Cast your burden on the LORD, and he will sustain you; he will never allow the righteous to be shaken,” (Psalm 55:22 CSB).
When feeling anxious about the mounting burden of simply surviving in our calamitous world, it helps relieve the pressure by bringing our fears and anxieties directly to the Lord. He can handle it, and we’ll be glad we did.
It also helps to write about our concerns. Writing helps us “un-stick” the mind, figure out the problem, and see things in a more positive light.

Re-visiting the Psalms can also help regain a clearer perspective. There, we have the privilege of looking into the hearts and minds of ancient writers/poets who put their faith in God and wrote to tell it. It’s filled with concerns, petitions, prayers, and even complaints to the Lord — all a part of His inspired Word.
Sometimes we just have to turn our thoughts inward and have an honest conversation with ourselves. The psalmist wrote, “Why, my soul, are you so dejected? Why are you in such turmoil? Put your hope in God, for I will still praise him, my Savior and my God,” (Psalm 43:5 CSB).
As we meditate on the goodness and faithfulness of God in the scriptures, it’s a good question to be asking ourselves.
