Spiritually Blind? - H L Ford

I once visited a cave at Silver Dollar City near Branson, MO. At one point, the tour guide turned off all lighting to demonstrate what the total absence of light feels like. The blackness was so very intense. Immediately my eyes strained to search out the tiniest pinpoint. I could actually feel my pupils enlarge as if starving for light.

There is a kingdom of darkness where no light dwells. I cannot imagine the horror of spending eternity starved for the Light of the World. A place where even the flames are black.

God created eyes to see, and He is Light, the very essence of how our eyes can perceive what is visible. The prince of this world is an expert at blinding the eyes to Truth. That is why the natural man cannot see the supernatural. It takes spiritual eyes, opened by the Holy Spirit.

It seems our world is plunging into darkness, and believers are desperately praying the God of the armies of heaven sends warring angels to defeat the spirits of hate, fear, and lawlessness. Light always overcomes the darkness.

Father, I ask Your Holy Spirit to pull the blinders from the eyes of those who are in desperate need to know the Truth that sets them free. Light of the world, lead us in Your footsteps, for only by a revelation of Your Truth can we walk in the path of righteousness. Amen.
