Throughout all time, there has been a sanctuary, a safe place, from which to live life.
As we go about our daily lives, that one place is where God wants us to remain - sitting at the feet of Jesus...whatever our lives require of us...whatever the problems that come throughout the day... whatever we want or don’t want...however we feel - good, awful, or nothing special.
In our spirit, our inner being, we can and need to stay with Jesus. With our spirit, we can be sitting at the feet of Jesus in tune with Him. Listening. There we will find whatever we need.
Not just a glance. Take time to really look at Him. Read the scriptures so you can get to know Him, especially the book of John where Jesus speaks so much about who He is, why He came, and what He wants for us.
Let’s not pretend we don’t need Him. We are nothing without Him.
Remain sitting at the feet of Jesus. Don’t hop up and go on your own when you feel better. When you do, you are on your own. Live your life while sitting at the feet of Jesus. It has taken me many years to come to this place, but it is truly the best place from which to live life.
Father God, help us to remain at the feet of Jesus always learning, always receiving from Him what we need for each minute, each situation of the day.
