Send Reinforcements to Your Mind Michael Edwards For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Eph 6:12 NAS
God calls us to be content with what we have, renew our minds to His precious truth, and walk by faith in His promises, not by sight in the flesh. A life established on the solid rock foundation of our righteous identity in Christ and God's promise to take care of us in this fallen world, pleases God and allows us to walk in His peace in all circumstances.
And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him. Heb 11:6 NAS (See Luke 18:8)
Obviously, Satan does not want us to believe God, walk in His peace, renew our minds, be rewarded, or please God. He wants the exact opposite. His temptations are designed to steal our focus from God's promises, keep us walking in the flesh by sight, and building our kingdom here as if this is everything. He wants to keep us conformed to the worldly ways of fear, worry, doubt, sin, and unbelief.
We know who has the upper hand in the battle for our mind by our feelings and actions, both require thoughts to exist. If we are not walking in peace in the storm, Satan has the upper hand for our minds.
Once we acknowledge that we have an enemy who has stolen so much from us and recognize that he seeks to further destroy us, we can change things. We can firmly decide to send reinforcements onto the battlefield daily, renewing our mind with God's pure truth and prevailing in Jesus' peace.
Let's turn off the opinions and fear of the news and social media, meditate on God's truth, and worship Him daily. Pray for the lost and suffering, be bold in Christ, share and encourage faith, love, bless, and help. Start right now by singing and praising God with Waymaker HERE. Read Philippians 4:4-9. Many faith-building studies HERE. Satan has stolen enough from us. Stand firm in the faith and see the Lord's victory!
