Resisting Covid – H L Ford
I want to be where people are healed, delivered, blind eyes opened, and the bruised set free.
Huh? You say that sounds like one of those religious fanatics on TV who shove people down and declare their healing. Ask yourself this question: What did Jesus preach about healing?
I read the words of Jesus, and it struck me.“The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to PREACH the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, to preach the acceptable year of the Lord.” Luke 4:18-19
That is what Jesus preached, taught, and practiced. That is what He sent His followers to do in Mark 16:15-18. Traditional teaching is that these signs following believers have all passed away.
Unfortunately, believers often submit to these afflictions as though they are from God instead of resisting them as an enemy attack. If we believe they are from God, they will not disappear by begging God to remove them. He isn’t going to resist the devil for us. He expects us to do that. How? Just like Jesus did. Declare: “IT IS WRITTEN, Christ has redeemed me from the curse of sickness. I resist this illness in His Name. Sickness, (Covid), you have to flee from me.” Stand firm and unmovable on the Word. Speak it daily until healing is fully manifest in your body. That is the good fight of faith. It may take time. It may look like defeat is inevitable. That is the enemy trying to steal the Word. God’s Word (seed) always produces a harvest.
