Replenish Our Faith - Tricia Draper Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. (Hebrews 11:1 NIV)
Looking at the world around us, it's easy for our thoughts to be overcome by the wind and the waves and lose faith. Death and destruction are happening all over, and satan seems to be deluding the world as he runs rampant.
If we want to walk in God's peace and victory, this is the time that we must, even if we have to force ourselves, keep our eyes on God and remember all the good He has done and will do for us. Hebrews 11 lists many people who showed great faith, even in dire circumstances. I encourage you to read and meditate on these examples yourself.
Hebrews 11:6 says: And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him.
So, how do we replenish our faith when chaos abounds, and we are running on empty? The only way is to look up and seek God, His wisdom, guidance, and peace. Consider all the ways He has helped you when there was no other way. Read His Word and remember His promises. He has promised that He is for us and not against us, and will never leave or forsake us.
Dear Lord, help me today to renew my faith in You. I ask You for the strength to use my faith and trust in You. I love You. Thank You. In Jesus Name, Amen!
