Protected in Your Love - CD Swanson Thou shalt keep them in the secret place of thy face from the pride of man; thou shalt keep them in the tabernacle protected from the strife of tongues. (Psalm 31:20)
There’s truly nothing like feeling secure in knowing God loves us.
When we contemplate things that might ordinarily create an uneasiness in those without faith, those of us with unwavering faith can settle back into a mindfulness of trust, knowing God is with us. He never leaves us; He never forsakes us. (Deuteronomy 31:8)
He is a forgiving and merciful God, and that mercy endures forever.
His Word, and His promises don’t have an “expiration date.” (Isaiah 40:8)
No, in fact they are tantamount to our survival in the world today. When we know that we are unscathed by “man” because God is in control at all times, we can attest to His love by the peace we feel “in our souls.”
He is the glory and lifter up of our heads. (Psalm 3:3)
He is our defense. He is the procurer of peace. (Isaiah 40:8)
God will always protect us in ways that are still visible today. Look around and be aware, connect with Him and get to know Him. His promises are there right this moment, waiting for you to “embrace Him and His Word.”
Being in His Word, and being surrounded by His love, is to be filled with Joy. With God, we have the tools to dismantle any strife that may come our way, but only through Jesus Christ. For, we are strong in Christ, and we will not fall, or grow weary, as long as we have Him.
He is our “everything” for today, tomorrow and all eternity!
“Father God, I look to You for all things, for protection, for guidance, for reassurance, and for wisdom to be able to live in a world filled with angst and despair, but through it all, I see Your light, and I thank You today, tomorrow and always, in Jesus name, Amen.”
