I Have Boldness Through Christ – Tricia Draper
“Therefore, since we have such a hope, we are very bold.” (2 Corinthians 3:12 NIV)
One definition of hope is: a confident and joyful expectation something good will happen. That’s a great promise. Paul is speaking about the hope we have in the Holy Spirit. When we have such a strong belief in knowing who we are in Christ, we become very bold in our spirits. This, in turn, emboldens us to speak more for Him and act according to God’s will.
The Scriptures say, “The righteous are as bold as lions” (Proverbs 28:1 NKJV). When we’re born again, we become righteous. When we know who we are in Christ, we can walk in boldness because we have His love to back us up. When we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior, we become children of God. He is our Father and He gives good and precious gifts to His children. He wants us to succeed in every area of our lives.
Turn to God today and let His boldness flow through you. Ask Him how He sees you in Christ and He will let you know. He sees you as His beloved child. That should cause you to walk in a boldness all your own.
Father, I choose today to walk in boldness. You have given me great and wonderful gifts. The gift of the Holy Spirit gives me hope and confidence. Thank You for accepting me as Your child. I love You. In Jesus’ Name, Amen!
