He Knows Our Days - Karen Pourbabaee
“The Lord knows the days of the blameless, their heritage lasts forever.” Psalm 37:18 NAB
All of our days were planned by our divine Creator. “…in Your book all are written down; my days were shaped before one came to be.” (Psalm 139:16) Yes, He is intimately acquainted with our days. He personally knows each of them. But is the Lord just casually aware of our times? A study of that important word know would give us the answer. Definitions of know include: be aware of through observation, inquiry, or information; have a good command of; have personal experience of (experience, undergo, or live through). And here are a few of the synonyms for know: see, understand, notice, observe. I am grateful that the Lord knows my days; they do not escape His loving care.
Thank You, Lord, for knowing all my days. You see them and understand them before they come to be. You know what I will need and what I should hear from You to navigate those days successfully. You have prepared Your words for me even now, because You have walked through my days when there was not yet one of them. You have experienced all the joys and sorrows, all the fears and doubts, all the trials and challenges, yet You were perfectly faithful and obedient to the Father. Jesus, tell me how to keep the faith as You have throughout my days. Have command over my times. Speak Your commandments over them. Help me to hear clearly Your words for me each day along this earthly journey. And this will be my heritage, that I will bring them all to heaven one day, hidden in my heart. Amen.
