God Will Provide for His Ambassadors Michael Edwards Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God. 2 Cor 5:20 ESV
While death is an enemy of God, He can and does use death at times to save the believer from evil in this world, Isa 57:1. So, why doesn’t God take all believers immediately to be with Him once they place their faith in Jesus
The reason is that we have a mission. We are no longer of this world, we belong to God’s Kingdom and are kept safe under grace, protected from the evil one, sent into the world as Ambassadors.
I do not ask that you take them out of the world, but that you keep them from the evil one. They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. Sanctify them in the truth; your word is truth. As you sent me into the world, so I have sent them into the world. John 17: 15-18 ESV
God must have a plan for your life to leave you here as an Ambassador, even if you do not understand it yet. One simple thing you do might bring a tidal wave of change. Maybe one person or many will believe because of your work, or you could be here to support, pray and show others the love of Christ. Our main mission is to lead others to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ.
Who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. 1 Tim 2:4 ESV
Since we are here to do the work of God, on a mission of utmost importance, led by and sent out by Jesus, do you doubt that God will provide for us while we are on our mission? God provided everything Jesus needed to complete His mission and Jesus tells us that the Father loves us as much as He loves Jesus. He will provide.
I in them and you in me, that they may become perfectly one, so that the world may know that you sent me and loved them even as you loved me. John 17:23 ESV
