The Bible is not just black marks on a book page; it is alive and powerful. Let’s leave behind the idea that it has nothing to do with us today. It has everything to do with every area of our lives today. His truths are timeless.

Through it, God has revealed to us His character so we may know Him. Just as He revealed His goodness to Moses, He wants to reveal His goodness to each of us today.

If we would take time to read the Bible and believe it, we would begin to ‘see’ God. His word is powerful and alive. Through those words recorded by writers inspired by the Holy Spirit, He has revealed Himself and His thoughts and plans for us.

He has provided all we need for life and godliness, wisdom, and guidance for today. Through the written word, He gave us promises.

His words give hope, peace, and stability. His truths are unchanging. They cut to the core and get to the root of every problem we face. 

The Old Testament reveals to us the character of God---His holiness, His mercy, and His longing for His people to return to Him.

The New Testament reveals to us God’s plan of reconciliation to bridge the gap between God and us. Jesus demonstrates the art of dependence on His Father as our example to depend totally on Him, living through us, as the branch and vine. He doesn’t expect us to live the Christian life, only He can do that. And He wants to do that through each of us.

Heavenly Father, Open our eyes as we read Your word to see how it relates to each of our individual lives today and every day for every situation.

His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness...that through these(promises) you may be partakers of the divine nature. 2 Peter 1:3-4 NKJV
