Do You Want to Be Transformed?
Karen Pourbabaee
“I urge you therefore, brother, by the mercies of God, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God, your spiritual worship. Do not conform yourselves to this age but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that you may discern what is the will of God, what is good, and pleasing, and perfect.” Romans 12:1-2 NAB
As we journey, we must be transformed, for it is our end to become the image of Christ in the world. It doesn’t happen instantaneously, but is a deliberate process that is chosen. So, do you want to be transformed? Have you identified an area of needed change? Has the Lord beckoned you onward to a journey of metamorphosis? Let’s get started.
Presentation: Take the first step by offering your body as a living sacrifice! Submit to His lordship. Enroll in His class, and open the eyes of your heart.
Revelation: Take the next step by letting God teach you—He has much to reveal—we have much to learn! Delve into His Word to renew your mind with Truth. No longer conform to this world by settling for worldly ideas and standards. The solution to your quest will be found among His eternal truths in scripture. His revelation will lead to your renewal!
Transformation: This will not happen without presentation and revelation preceding it. Jesus promises us transformation if we both submit to Him and seek Him. “Behold, I make all things new,” announces His transformational power. (Rev. 21:5) If you’ve taken the initial steps, offer a final prayer of conversion: “A clean heart create for me, O God; renew in me a steadfast spirit.” (Psalm 51:12)
Do you want to be transformed? Follow the clear path in His Word. Amen.
