Behold, What God is For Me! Karen Pourbabaee “See, God has come to save me! I will trust and not be afraid, for the Lord is my strength and song; He is my salvation.” Isaiah 12:2 LBCE
In response to the cries of our heart, God comes Himself to be our strength, song, and salvation. God is the gift, the source of all these things. God comes…we can trust and not be afraid. No matter what trial or trouble we are walking through, God’s Word continually encourages us to have no fear. We are to lay our fears, worries, and cares at His feet. He has come to banish them from our lives.
God is our strength. He is our endurance, power, resilience, courage, perseverance, and security. He is the author and giver of our physical, emotional, and spiritual strength, helping us in conflict to resist the attacks of the enemy and weaknesses of the flesh. His power is unlimited, therefore ask Him to be your strength!
God is our song. Among God’s people, songs were indicative of joy and absence of sorrow. God became the subject of their praises. They sang songs of liberation when the battles were over. They voiced His glorification in melody. Today, we can do the same. Ask God to give you a new song, a tune of praise for the release of His grace. It is God who breathes music into our hearts, creating joy and peace. Let God be your song!
God is our salvation. He is our deliverer from all evil, our restorer, and preserver of life. He rescues us in love and restores us to the joy of our salvation. From the Greek root, sozo, salvation encompasses wholeness, healing, and preservation. When you call, God will come to be your salvation!
Behold, what God is for you! Amen.
