Thou hast magnified Thy Word above thy name, Psa. 138:2 KJV
I want to know You NOW, Lord. Adam and Eve got to walk and talk with You in the garden. I don't want to have to wait till heaven to get to do that too.
As I prayed that prayer, it seemed the Lord whispered to my heart, "If you don't take time to talk with me and walk with me on earth, You will never do that in Heaven."
How do I do that Lord? I cannot see You. "Blessed are they who believe without seeing."
I know You are there. But how do I hear Your voice?
"You can know Me through My word. I AM the Word which became flesh and dwelt among men. Open the pages of My book and learn of Me. Ask the Holy Spirit to open your understanding. My words are spirit, life, and health, not just to your own spirit, but to all your flesh. You cannot learn to trust Me if you don't know what I am saying. If You don't pay attention to My words, why should I pay attention to yours?"
I see now. How can I have faith in Your Word if I don't know what it says? How can I be a doer of the Word if I don't know what it says?
"Study to show yourself a workman approved that needs not to be ashamed. Learn of me. Get understanding. Heaven and earth will pass away but my Word remains forever. It is a solid foundation for you to build upon. All other ground is shifting sand."
Holy Spirit, open my understanding. Help me to walk in the Truth that is revealed to me through the Word.
