What is this peace? This is the peace that transcends the worries, anxieties and trials that attempt to crowd our lives. The peace that confirms that all will be well when we are in God's hands despite surrounding circumstances. This is the peace that floods a weary heart, a frazzled mind, a sick body, a crushed spirit.
The peace that surpasses human understanding is what the world desperately needs, infusing wellbeing impossible to express in words. Christ calls this a peace which comes from His own generosity - elusive in this world - only found fully in Him.
Maintain this spirit of peace and we will save a thousand souls. For this peace attracts the thirsty and the weary, drawing them to the Fountain of Life, the Rock of Rest, the Sustainer of Strength and the Source of Salvation. Oh how the world aches for this peace!

Reflections: Consider what is robbing you of resting in God and receiving His peace just now? Are you able to offer yourself as a place of peace for others to rest? What part of you is crying out to God for peace? Offer these thoughts in prayer to the Father.
