There is a Way Part II - Karen Pourbabaee
“I have chosen the faithful way; I have placed Thine ordinances before me.” Psalm 119:30 NAS
The faithful way begins with God’s Word, a navigation system we can depend upon. Along this path, discover more of the treasures revealed in Psalm 119:
Wisdom and Understanding (v. 98,104,169): Wisdom isn’t knowledge, but the correct use of knowledge…an understanding of what to do with our knowledge. It’s a wonderful benefit of God’s Word. Meditate on His precepts and wait for it.
Light (v.105, 130): The unfolding of His Word shines light upon our paths. Don’t linger in darkness and despair. Don’t keep the door closed to the true light. Open it.
Truth (v.142, 151, 160):We need truth to guide our lives. Verse 151 states, “…all Thy commandments are truth.” Reject the deceit and lies of the world; destroy the evil one’s plan for your life. Open His Word for answers. If you desire truth, you must seek it.
Deliverance (v.170): Do you need to be rescued? Set free? Bring your supplications before the Lord. His promise is to deliver you according to His Word. Humble yourself and ask for it.
Joy (v.111): Do you want more than fleeting happiness? Momentary pleasures? Are you drowning in hopelessness and despair? His testimonies are meant to be the joy of your heart. Look to His Word and dive into it.
Peace (v.165): Are you in the midst of chaos? Struggling with anxieties and fears? The Lord promises that loving His Law will bring you great peace.
Choose the faithful way. Place His ordinances before you. Do it. You will discover what the psalmist revealed in verse 162: “I rejoice at Your Word as one who finds great treasure.”
