Love, the greatest gift to man. How great then is the love from God for His children? He sacrificed His only begotten Son and Jesus paid the price, who then sacrificed it, all for us. Jesus willingly kept His Father's commandments to fulfill the scriptures, for us. And, this was all about their LOVE…
Love…there are so many kinds of love. We love our spouse/significant other, we love our children, and we love our pets, house, car…even say, " Oh, I love chocolate." But the deepest truest beyond all human comprehension is the LOVE the Father has for us. That's Agape, pure, fulfilling, unconditional and never ending.
How God must have hurt that day watching His Son being scourged, spat upon and crucified in the most violent and reprehensible fashion. His arms pulled from their sockets hanging on the cross. Yet, the Father did it for us…and Jesus did it for us…to save us and defeat death, and offer us eternal salvation. That is Agape Love.
