We keep running to fulfill our needs and desires from one thing to another. We keep running for the whole of our lives and still stay unsatisfied.
God invites us instead to have His rest. Jesus said, "Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." (Matthew 11:28). The path to His rest is one of priority. "But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you." (Matthew 6:33). Rest in Christ, seek His Kingdom and His righteousness first, and His grace will lead you. His way is peace eternal, contentment in life and hope despite any burden.
Living life from God's perspective is the best way to live. There is no problem too great for Him to solve. There is no need that He cannot fulfill from His abundant grace. We need to not linger on our problems but instead on the powerful promises of God. He promises to supply and satisfy our needs. Through Him, and in Him, we stand victorious and are more than conquerors (Romans 8:37). No enemy can ever defeat us as long as we keep God our priority. He is bigger than our financial situations, our failing health or any kind of negativity in our life.
We have the assurance from God that 'He will always be with us' (Matthew 28:20). Faithfully seek His presence and His righteousness in your life on a daily basis. Your problems will diminish as His peace and joy prevail.
Lord, I come to you today just as I am to seek your righteousness, your kingdom and presence. Show me your will and your way. Amen.
