A Good Day - Karen Pourbabaee
You've likely heard the farewell greeting "Have a good day!" too many times to count. What determines a good day is often quite different from each person's viewpoint. We live in an imperfect and sometimes chaotic world. Our days bring trials, challenges, fears, and sorrows as well as triumphs, blessings, hopes and joys. No matter what fills our days on earth, God has given us insight on a good day in His book.
Consider His advisement in Psalm 92, which is descriptive of a good day and ultimately a good life. That day would begin with remembering and proclaiming His lovingkindness. Awaken each morning confessing His love and care for you. Let no negative thoughts take hold in your heart. Meditate on His lovingkindness as you greet the day.
"It is good…To declare Thy lovingkindness in the morning…" Psalm 92:1-2 NAS
Let your day unfold in thankfulness. Let gratitude adorn your heart and it will become a shield against the fiery darts of the enemy.
"It is good to give thanks to the Lord, And to sing praises to Thy name, O Most High." Psalm 92:1
Open your day by declaring God's lovingkindness and close it by remembering His faithfulness to you or your loved ones. How have you seen His hand of protection, healing, goodness or guidance this day? Recall it. Thank Him. Feeling peaceful, joyful, loved? Remember those moments and store them away. Know that He has been near.
"It is good…to declare Your faithfulness by night." Psalm 92:1-2
Next time your ears are graced with a casual "Have a good day!" take it to heart. Are you having a Psalm 92 day?

FaithWriters are Fulfilling The Great Commission Together!
As we help you become the writer God has called you to be, you help us spread the gospel in over 230 countries online. Here is a quote from a reader who accepted Jesus on FaithWriters. His life will never be the same because one writer “put pen to paper” and shared it.
‘I literally was transformed and totally healed in an instant upon trusting in Jesus as my lord and savior. The love, joy, light, and peace I feel is way more than words or thoughts can express. This new life of being a true Christian, who is saved, Spirit-filled, born-again, fully and truly converted by the living holy gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ, is going to carry my being further than anyone could ever imagine. It will be the most blessed, rewarding, and holy life in the Lord, which I have embarked upon now.’” Roger P. |
