God provides us all with the wisdom to do what is right. But at the same time, Satan also has some plans to lure people away from following God. The mere thought of jealousy might lead someone to end a relationship, whether professional or personal. We need to guard our thoughts with God's word. Every time we think about the wrong things or enter into a process of doing wrong, a soft voice from our subconscious mind warns us that we are turning on to an undesirable path, undesirable to our God. This ends with unpleasing repercussions to us as well.
How do we prevent ourselves from getting into the dungeon that Satan prepares for us? Thoughts of anger, jealousy, strife, disobedience, or disrespect might bubble up for a moment, but if we keep entertaining these thoughts, they start ruling our actions. Never let such thoughts linger on your mind. Many times, we deliberately force our minds to produce such thoughts, which harm others, just to satisfy our egos. It always seems self-satisfying to think of ways disrespecting someone who has mistreated you, but the Word says to stand firm and hold on to what is right (2 Thessalonians 2:15). It takes conscious effort to follow the right path, and it's also not an easy thing to do. But when we do what our Master has told us to, then He gives the strength to sustain. He delivers.
When we find people who are trying to play games and mess up our lives or relationships, the first thing we need to do is to go to God and ask for an insight into the matter. He will then surely bless us with His wisdom and show us the right path to follow. We should be asking God to mend us on a daily basis because this is something we really need. It is only by the strength of His word that we can be saved.
PRAYER: Lord, we are weak in flesh. Help us to align our thoughts in accordance to you so that we may stand pleasing to you. Amen.
