A Day of Opportunities by Karen White Life is a series of days filled with events and challenges. Some days bring life- changing occurrences such as becoming a spouse, parent, employee, and or widow(er). Other days produce less dramatic incidents like discovering a new food, hobby or meeting a new friend. When we open our eyes in the morning we may not know what will transpire that day but we do know who created the day. Psalm 118:24 states “This is the day the Lord has made; We will rejoice and be glad in it.:” NKJV.
The events of the day may be unknown to us, but the Lord not only created the day but is aware of what it holds. Before we have a conscious thought in the morning, He is already alert, ready to go before us, and remain with us throughout the entire twenty-four hours.
The daily experiences may vary, but all contain twenty-four hours of opportunities for us to minister to others, draw closer to Him, and witness for Him. However, in order for us to achieve all, He has for us each day we must be in communication with Him. Beginning the day in prayer; thanking God for His blessings and asking Him to guide us; allowing us to see people in need and giving us the strength to accomplish all He has for us that day is a great way to start a day of opportunities. Rejoice! Dear Lord, You alone know what is in store for me this day. I have faith that You are with me in each circumstance and desire what is in my best interest. I ask that You guide and use me to further Your kingdom, and I give You the praise. In Jesus’s name, amen.
