Practically every time our oldest daughter is entered into a drawing or if a volunteer is needed from the audience, she gets picked. "I'm shuffling this bucket of names up good! Could be anybody!"
With my arms folded, I think, "Nah, it's Annabelle."
"And the winner is... Annabelle!"
I'm always excited for her. Yet, my youngest girl never gets picked. "Don't worry," I try to reassure her, "My name never got called either when I was a little girl."
"I just wish I could hear my name," she sighs and responds. It is fun and exciting to hear our names called out. Saying and hearing a name has great value.
Jesus is of such great worth that His name alone has power. You've noticed. His name proclaimed in a crowd can change the entire situation. Some feel more comfortable, while others fidget and squirm. The names of any other gods cannot compare. It's HIS name that is also defiled and taken in vain. Another god's name? Never, because there is no power in any other name.

It's a precious, loving name that has the power to do so much in your life. Call out to Him. Just say His name: "Jesus!"
