We have just walked through the season of Lent and Easter, a time infiltrated by angelic beings. They rejoiced with Christ in His victory over Satan in the desert. And these heavenly messengers spoke to the apostles after Christ's ascension. Angels played an important role in the life of Christ and key events in salvation history, and God ordained their important role in our lives too.

Angels protect us. "For He will command His angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways." (Psalm 91:11)
Angels obey God's Word. "Bless the Lord, you His angels, mighty in strength, who perform His Word, obeying the voice of His Word." (Psalm 103:20) An important reason to pray God's Word over your life and your petitions.
Christ, reigning King of heaven and earth, has a legion of angels at His command. When He initiates a plan on behalf of man, they're listening. At His Word, angels are activated. At His command, they obey. As His beloved, we are special assignments of the reigning King. Our welfare is His concern. Our calling, our divine purpose, transpires with the aid of His angels. They walk among us, the heirs of salvation, as a testament of His love.
