| | | | | | Bob – Ken Ebright “Thanks be to God for his gift that is too wonderful for words." (2 Corinthians 9:15 NCV)
“Thank you God for sending Jesus.” I heard those words from Bob, a man in my Bible study group, every time we would pray. Until I met Bob, I had never considered thanking Jesus for what He did on the cross, taking the punishment that I deserved.
I cannot imagine what it would feel like to have stakes driven through my hands or wrists and placed on a cross. I don’t even like needles. Then, in his hour of need upon that cross, Jesus experienced abandonment by the father. It saddens me to think that for all of my life, I have not been very thankful to the person who did the most for me.
As believers, do we appreciate what Jesus did for us on the cross? Have you told Jesus how thankful you are for what He did? He suffered for you and me. If He hadn’t done this, we would be spending eternity in Hell.
Take your thumb and rub your wrist. Think about how it would feel to put a nail though your wrist. Now, thank Jesus for what He did for you.
Ken is a native Minnesotan and loves to sing and can play the keyboard. Contact |
