Our lives are like threads in a vast tapestry which God is weaving. Often times we are unaware of what God is seeking to achieve in a particular situation because from our stand point we only see a small piece of this tapestry. From this perspective our lives may seem dull, insignificant and of little worth. Yet from the perspective of heaven we will be amazed at how God has woven the threads of our lives to fulfil his plans and purposes. We become weary when we focus on our little piece of the tapestry and forget we are part of something far bigger.
I enjoy the opportunity that holidays bring of being able to visit other churches and realise that God is also at work in their midst. Perhaps in different ways to what I am accustom to but nevertheless God is at work. It gives a small taste of the vast tapestry that God is making and provides great encouragement to press on.
So when we are tempted to give in to weariness let's remember that God is in control and at the end of time his vast tapestry will be perfect and complete.
