In Tune with Christ -Toni Babcock

Have you ever listened to a choir and heard one pitchy voice that seemed to dominate the music, or one section of the choir that seemed to be in competition with another? Amid all the discord, the message of the song gets lost. Instead of feeling blessed by the end of the performance, a better word might be distressed. Not exactly a recipe for attracting an audience.
How do we harmonize within the body of Christ? Consider how we get out of tune when we insist on having it our way, or when one group of Christians seems constantly pitted against another. The message of the gospel gets lost amid the discord. So much for evangelism.
Every member of the body of Christ has a part to contribute in spreading the good news of the gospel, bringing glory to God. If we spend our spiritual energy staying in tune with Jesus, focusing our attention on Him; we will follow His lead, and learn to serve Him in harmony, without drowning each other out. People will be blessed, and will begin listening to the good news we have to share.
Lord, in the various ministries to which we serve, keep us focused on you, following your lead, keeping in harmony with each other to the glory of God.
