Crucified with Christ – by Toni Babcock "I am crucified with Christ, nevertheless I live, yet not I, but Christ lives in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me," (Galatians 2:20 KJV).
The body of Christ consists of sinners who have been saved by grace. Saved indeed, but still sinners tempted at times to display certain negative behaviors such as distorting the facts, casting blame, manipulating others, sabotaging plans, gossiping, or even playing the martyr in order to rally sympathy from others.
Only a full surrender to the Man who was wounded on our behalf can give us the power to peel away these false strategies and live in His resurrection power - in a power where we strive to defend the gospel first and foremost, not our own agenda. This is the life the Apostle Paul lived out when he wrote, "I am crucified with Christ, nevertheless I live, yet not I, but Christ lives in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me," (Galatians 2:20 KJV).
