Easy Fix for Perfect Peace – Michael Edwards
You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you. Isaiah 26:3
Are you walking in His peace in all circumstances? Do you really want to? Really?
What is on your mind right now? Maybe you are reading this looking for peace, with scattered thoughts on all that is wrong, desperate for answers, trying to figure it all out and hoping for a quick fix.
The question is, how desperately do you want to walk in God’s peace no matter the circumstances? Have you come to the end of yourself, finally wanting His peace so much that you will finally accept God’s word as true and act upon it?
The good news is that there is an easy and permanent fix. The whole of your solution is simple and in our short opening verse. His peace has been patiently waiting to burst upon the scene and overcome your circumstances.
Certainly, Martha and Mary had many troubles, women following Jesus, under constant threat and persecution in the early church. Martha chose to fix her eyes on her problems and found anxiety and trouble. Mary chose to fix her eyes on Jesus and found His peace that could not be taken away from her. The solution is simple if we trust in and act upon God’s word.
But the Lord answered her, “Martha, Martha, you are anxious and troubled about many things, but one thing is necessary. Mary has chosen the good portion, which will not be taken away from her.” Luke 10:41-42 ESV
What will you fix your eyes and thoughts upon? Will you make a commitment to focus upon Jesus no matter what, or will you leave this message forever seeking a complicated formula and answer, still trying to do it your way?
Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, Heb 12:2a BSB
The answer is clear and simple, right before your eyes. Please, don’t brush it off and miss it.
You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you. Isaiah 26:3
