“I sought the Lord, and he answered me; he delivered me from all my fears. Those who look to him are radiant; their faces are never covered with shame.” (Psalm 34:4-5, NIV)
The good fight of faith (cf. 1 Timothy 6:12) sounds easy, doesn’t it? One has to do nothing but just have faith; faith in the Lord that he will fight the battle for you. Simple, but it doesn’t seem that simple when our mind starts reasoning about it.
Everyone wants help in their time of need; someone on whom we could just cast our cares. We need an ear to hear, a heart to understand, a touch of care and compassion to tell us that it’s all going to be okay — someone saying, “I will handle this for you”. In times like this we become more vulnerable to the tactics of darkness which keep pointing out to us that nothing is okay and nothing is good for you. And so, we start to fear. Fear is a part of flesh, and it’s not that easy to run away from it, but the key is to keep the focus on the Lord as the only way to be saved.
Peter began to walk on water (cf. Matthew 14:22-33). He was okay till he lifted his focus away from Jesus and placed it on the water. He began to drown because walking on water didn’t make sense to his mind. Impossible situations get tackled as long as we remain focused on Jesus. It’s not about feeling the fear, but about keeping on in the Lord – trusting his plans for you. It’s always the Lord who has the last say, no one else.
The fight of faith is a good one! Why? because you’re leaning on the Lord and not on your own understanding. You’re trusting in your creator other than the creation. Greater is he who is in you than the one who is in this world (cf. 1John 4:4). Amen.

The steps to share your faith without fear – no confrontation. Pray and then get them alone.
Ask these five questions to help discover their personal spiritual condition.
Do you have any kind of spiritual belief?
To you, who is Jesus?
Do you think there is a heaven and a hell?
If you died right now, where would you go?
If what you believe were not true, would you want to know it?
Listen to their answers in a calm and open way. You are asking their permission to share Christ with the last question. If they say no, you can drop it – no confrontation. You have still done the work of Christ and offered the truth.
Here are a series of five Bible verses to ask the lost person to read aloud if you have their permission. Let them read them and remain silent. After each verse they read, ask them what it says to them. If they misunderstand, ask them to read it again until they admit the truth in the verse.

Then ask them a series of five questions that summarizes the truth of the verses and lead the lost person to the point of decision.
Are you a sinner?
Do you want forgiveness for your sins?
Do you believe Jesus died on the cross for you and rose again?
Are you willing to surrender yourself to Christ?
Are you ready to invite Jesus into your heart and into your life?
Lead them in the Sinner's Prayer if they are ready to make a decision. Stay in touch and get them discipled or connect them with a local fellowship or small group for future growth.
