“Hezekiah received the letter from the hand of the messengers and read it. Then Hezekiah went up to Yahweh’s house, and spread it before Yahweh.” (2 Kings 19:14 WEB)
We must be like King Hezekiah and spread out all our worries, fears, doubts, and problems, to God in prayer. We must come boldly before his throne seeking wisdom and guidance, and instruction from the Lord. Hezekiah King of Judah prayed to God concerning the king of Assyria coming against Judah. In his prayer, Hezekiah begged and pleaded with God to save Judah from the hand of the king of Assyria (cf. 2 Kings 19:14-19 WEB).
We must take all our burdens and things which weigh heavily upon our hearts and minds to God in prayer. “In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your request be made known to God,” (Philippians 4:6 WEB). Hezekiah had been focusing on the power of Judah’s enemy, the King of Assyria; the people of Assyria. He allowed his focus on the enemy to create in him a heart of fear. When Hezekiah heard the words of the king of Assyria from Rabshakeh, a servant of the king of Assyria, he became faint in heart at his words (cf. 2 Kings 19:1 WEB). The king of Assyria proclaimed his sovereignty over all other gods of the nations, even Yahweh our God (cf. 2 Kings 18:28-35 WEB). Hezekiah prayed out of fear to the Lord Yahweh to save Judah from the attack of the king of Assyria (cf.2 Kings 19:15-19 WEB).
God answered Hezekiah prayer. God saved Judah from the king of Assyria; the people of Assyria. God will do the same for us. “That night, Yahweh’s angel went out and struck one hundred eight-five thousand in the camp of the Assyrians,” (2 Kings 19:35 WEB). In 2 Kings 19:37 the king of Assyria is killed by two individuals while worshipping his idol god.
We must not look at the power of our enemies, or become overshadowed by the power of our enemies, but we must acknowledge the sovereignty of our Lord Yahweh. Hezekiah recognized God’s sovereignty in his prayer. “For Yahweh is a great God, a great King above all gods,” (Psalms 95:3 WEB).

The steps to share your faith without fear – no confrontation. Pray and then get them alone.
Ask these five questions to help discover their personal spiritual condition.
Do you have any kind of spiritual belief?
To you, who is Jesus?
Do you think there is a heaven and a hell?
If you died right now, where would you go?
If what you believe were not true, would you want to know it?
Listen to their answers in a calm and open way. You are asking their permission to share Christ with the last question. If they say no, you can drop it – no confrontation. You have still done the work of Christ and offered the truth.
Here are a series of five Bible verses to ask the lost person to read aloud if you have their permission. Let them read them and remain silent. After each verse they read, ask them what it says to them. If they misunderstand, ask them to read it again until they admit the truth in the verse.

if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with your heart you believe and are justified, and with your mouth you confess and are saved.… Romans 10:9-10 BSB
Then ask them a series of five questions that summarizes the truth of the verses and lead the lost person to the point of decision.
Are you a sinner?
Do you want forgiveness for your sins?
Do you believe Jesus died on the cross for you and rose again?
Are you willing to surrender yourself to Christ?
Are you ready to invite Jesus into your heart and into your life?
Lead them in the Sinner's Prayer if they are ready to make a decision. Stay in touch and get them discipled or connect them with a local fellowship or small group for future growth.
