SUMMER
TIME– by Stephanie
White
My lover
spoke and said to me, “Arise, My darling, My beautiful one, and come with
Me. See! The winter is past; the rains
are over and gone. Flowers appear on the
earth; the season of singing has come…” Song of Solomon 2:10-12 NIV
We are not
meant to continually experience “winter.”
Trials are part of life, but they are not to be a believer’s way of
life.
It is
possible for us to become comfortable in trials. We can begin to take root and pitch a tent in
these tribulations if we are not careful.
When we become accustomed to the trial, we are ignoring the promises of
God. God does not keep us from trials,
but He does provide for us so that we can arise out of them!
Our Lord is
our Lover. No one’s love can compare to
His. His plans are based on His love for
us. Trials are not designed to defeat
us; His desire is for the trial to make us better. Arise!
We are God’s darlings! We are His
beautiful ones! He calls out, “Come with
Me!” Are we answering His invitation or
are we too rooted in the trials?
God is
announcing the end of the Winter! Join
with the birds in singing a new song – the song of Summer, a song of praise for
God’s goodness! According to God you are
blessed now! Winter is over! Take hold of the Summer of His Love!
