Subject: What conversation are you having with yourself?

Weekly Broadcast to Live Healthy, Vibrant and Fulfilled
Lucky, Friend,

Do you ever feel like when things go bad, lots of things happen together?

This past week has been one of those weeks. We had our pool opened and found some cracks in the concrete. We asked the pool people about it and they said it wasn’t their fault, we should have added more water. “Wait, I thought that’s what we paid them for?”

Next, we had ants show up in our dishwasher, in the garage and a few other places inside. And, when one of my grandsons and I were playing outside, he picked up a rock and there were hundreds coming out. Yuck!

Then the caulking on the kitchen sink came out and we have holes around the sides, and our land lines don’t have a dial tone. And, I’ve been on the phone with them a few too many times.

It’s so easy to focus on the problems that happen.

But in reality, I had a lot more hours of joy, fun and good things happen. I just forgot to give my gratitude and focus on those things, like having lunch with friends, receiving nice words from some of you, my followers, and being able to hire people to fix these inconveniences. The list goes on and on - wonderful, helpful husband; great health; sent my blog to Sixty and Me; and almost have my new ebook done - Ideas to Thrive in Retirement.

Instead of being grateful and focusing on the glass half full, I let myself think more about the problems than the gifts in my life.

And, I know better.

Life gives you what you think about. My week was a great example of that.

What have you been thinking about?

What's The Conversation You Are Having With Yourself?

One of the things I notice is how much words and beliefs keep you stuck rather than allow you to achieve your goals, desires or dreams.

It takes constant awareness of the words and actions you are choosing.

For instance, if you want to weigh something different from where you are right now. Write out the thoughts and beliefs you have about being that weight.
I won’t be able to get there.
That’s a weight for younger people.

What about losing weight?
It’s hard.
It takes all the fun out of eating.

Even as simple as how you live each day. How do you approach that? (Read more)
