How Are You Feeling Imprisoned?

Winter has reared its harshest nature closing many doors to feelings of freedom. Freedom to get outdoors, to get around.

Pandemic has closed you in as well as losing connection to others and things you love to do.

I haven’t driven even though my car has 4-wheel drive because I have allowed the fear to be greater than my confidence to be able to handle what happens.

The streets beyond my neighbor are cleared. I realized how limiting I have allowed myself to think and see. And yet, I’m feeling imprisoned.

That’s when you know it’s time to get creative.

“When you look in the mirror, what do you see? Do you see the real you, or what you have been conditioned to believe is you? The two are so, so different. One is an infinite consciousness capable of being and creating whatever it chooses, the other is an illusion imprisoned by its own perceived and programmed limitations.” — David Icke

“In our natural state, we are glorious beings. In the world of illusion, we are lost and imprisoned, slaves to our appetites and our will to false power.” — Marianne Williamson

Curious Friend,

We were without hot water most of this last week. But we were very grateful we had running water. Our heat valve in our tankless water heater went out. Of course we couldn’t find one that would be delivered right away. We still don’t have it but the temperatures are rising. Hopefully we have some hot water soon.

We had to postpone finishing the tile work in my bathroom because of the water situation. I felt sorry for the workers because their jobs all over are being postponed because of no water or heat. And, they don’t get paid until they are complete.

This long stretch of frigid weather was different than we are used to. It has made us think about different practices for the future that we need to implement. We have been more grateful for running water, heat and other services that have worked perfectly to keep us comfortable.

Yes, the darkness can bring out lots of goodness and gratitude if that is your focus.

It can also bring much bitterness. You decide.

Where are you placing your focus during uncomfortable times?
