Hello,
Coming off vacation where we ate more desserts and had more drinks than usual I’ve had to reassess my patterns of eating.
Is it worth it each time I come back to have to rid myself of the extra 10 that I add to my body?
And, most importantly, how is it affecting my health?
My weight has controlled me. I keep thinking I am getting in a better space about it UNTIL we travel.
One of the things I have done a better job than I have in the past is to listen to what my body needs - like does it need more rest? What food fuels my energy? What drags me down? What happens when I eat sugar, beef or wheat products? What feels good?
But, I didn’t honor and listen to it on our trip. I added sugar after sugar and gluten, which I know is not good for my body.
I know in order for me to thrive, I have to dig and find healthy patterns of living for me while at home and traveling.

For so many years, I never thought about the health side of weight, just the image of what I looked like. Now, as I have aged, I better understand the consequences of the choices I make and how they impact my health. Read More
