Weekly Broadcast to Live Healthy, Vibrant and Fulfilled
Happy Holidays,

I just finished Jon Gordon’s new book, “Life Word.” I love simple books that have a great message. I liked it so well, I bought one for each of our kids (4) for a stocking stuffer. I hope they take the time to realize their life word and see how it can apply to all areas of their life. I’d love for them to realize a bigger meaning of life rather than feeling so busy as parents and professionals in their careers. Jon says, “Your Life Word gives you the Desire and Direction to Live Your Destiny.”

Hope you, too, can find meaning in this little book, “Life Word.”

Reading is an important part of my life - for the knowledge, insights, and relaxation. I love to share what I’ve read and how I think it integrates into living a life that matters.

Take time to do something that fills you up.

If you obey all the rules, you’ll miss all the fun. ~ Katharine Hepburn

Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the things you did. ~ Mark Twain
INSIGHTS TO THRIVING IN UNRETIREMENT
Is This Holiday Season Causing You To Be Busy or Fulfilled?

One will allow you to feel you are in control of your life, and the other is in control of you.

Big Difference!

  • Fulfilled because you see how all the sharing and giving is connected to your “Life Word.”
  • Busy because you are wandering through chores and obligations, frantic with all you have “to do.”
  • What if this is an opportunity for you to begin to Thrive? Realizing you’ve had enough of the craziness.

Maybe this is your wake up call. Realizing it is time to live a more meaningful life.

You could create a new story for your life. You could change the way you perceive life.

Think of how great life will feel when you focus on what matters to you.

It’s just a shift in your thinking.

For example, as you think about this holiday season, know what matters to you. Express Yourself! If your love language is quality time, then gatherings can bring feeling joyful and loved. If your love language is gifts, then giving and receiving gifts will be a priority for you.

Rather than feeling you have so much to do, tie it to things that matter to you, like your love language. Then what you are doing can have meaning for your life rather than just feel like another chore to do.

It’s a little shift - in your thinking - but HUGE in how it feels for you. It adds to your life rather than drain your energy.

It is only a change in your perspective. You know, like the glass is half full or half empty.

One of the things that I realized from studying The Course of Miracles is that these ideas are like miracles in your life. When you can see situations with new eyes, (actually, it’s in a new way of thinking about something), life has new meaning. What you start seeing and attracting to you, changes.

Remember, what you focus on you receive more of - like “I’m so busy, I don’t have enough time” or “My life is full because I am sharing it with those I love and care about.”

Which do you want more of in your life? Chaos or Fulfilling?.

Living on Purpose:
  • Brings order and discipline to your life.
  • Brings you a feeling of being more grounded.
  • Brings you a sense of direction for your life.
The choice is yours. It will be based on what you saying and doing in your life.

It is why I love this work. I want you to remember, you can have the life you want.

  • Make a decision to make it more meaningful than being busy.
  • Be conscious of the choices you are making.
  • Connect the why you are choosing the activities to what is MOST important to you and the direction you want your life to go.

Life is precious. Begin today living it in a way that matters to you.
