Mike Etzel, along with brother-in-law and wine critic Robert Parker (the Beaux Freres), were pioneers in Oregon winemaking. For the last decade Etzel has farmed using biodynamic principles and the wines are better than ever. The 2014 vintage is already legendary for the state. We are glad to see it get this wonderful recommendation from Wine Spectator.
~Very Proud to Offer~
2014 Beaux Frères Pinot Noir Ribbon Ridge
The Beaux Frères Vineyard
$125 bottle
95 Points Wine Spectator

Owner Mike Etzel started planting Beaux Frères’ original 24 acres in 1988 on a steep south-facing slope on Ribbon Ridge, near the north end of Oregon’s Willamette Valley, using the Pommard and Wädenswil Pinot Noir clones that dominated the state’s vineyard-scape at the time. The first vintage was 1991, and Beaux Frères soon became an Oregon standard-bearer. As the early opulent style gradually achieved more elegance and transparency, the wines continued to earn outstanding and classic ratings. The 2014 brims with rich fruit and floral flavors that present themselves in layers, coming together into a supple, expressive balance. 2405 cases made.
