Subject: Treats from Margaux

Under the helm of Henri Lurton, Chateau Brane Cantenac is reaching new heights of excellence and reinforcing its position as a second classified growth. The wines have the quintessential bouquet and elegance that is Margaux.

All the wines are blends of 55% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot, and the balance Cabernet Franc. The chateau's second label, Baron de Brane, is 12 months in barrel with 20% new oak and the Brane Cantenac is 18 months with 60% new oak.

2010 Baron de Brane Margaux $420 case
(The 2010 Brane Cantenac received 95+ from Robert Parker.)
89-92 Points Wine Spectator “Bright and intensely floral, with a lovely violet aroma and long, rich plum sauce, blackberry and currant notes. There's lush toast, but it's nicely integrated. Very suave. ”

2005 Baron de Brane Margaux $576 case
(The 2005 Brane Cantenac received 95 points from Robert Parker.)

2009 Brane Cantenac Margaux $1398 case
95 Points Robert Parker “A spectacular effort from this estate rivaling their 2005, but more flashy/flamboyant, this dark ruby/purple wine has a strikingly intense nose of licorice, flowers, plums and dark berries. Medium to full-bodied, very approachable and silky, this suave, very sexy wine can be drunk early on as well as aged for 20+ years.”
