One of the most admired producers in Fleurie, the Vendange Tardive is made from 80 year old vines. In 2015 it is pure magic! While it can be enjoyed now, this extremely limited old vine cuvee is meant to be laid down. As winemaker Alain Coudert says, it proves that Gamay can seriously age and achieve more than youthful drinkability.
This family estate is worked manually and vinification is the traditional semi-carbonic Beaujolais style with native yeasts.
