| A Historic and Visionary Heritage
- Founded in 1525 by Jean de Pontac, Haut-Brion is one of the oldest wine estates in Bordeaux.
- It was one of the first châteaux to use barrels for maturing and exporting wine, influencing the modern Bordeaux style.
