2013 Trimbach Riesling Clos Sainte Hune $600 magnum
96 Points Vinous “Bright straw-yellow. Yellow apple, tangerine, crystallized lemon peel and a chalky nuance on the rich, captivating nose. Then dense, tactile and tight in the mouth, communicating superb energy and perfume to the concentrated flavors of ripe citrus fruits and powdered minerals. The penetrating, slowly rising finish offers an almost magically mouthcoating combination of roundness and vibrant acidity; this seamless wine is loaded with insidious sweetness. A knockout Clos Sainte Hune.” |

The tiny Clos lies within the heart of Rosacker Grand Cru with 60-year-old vines planted in cool limestone-rich soil. The result is a wine with a rare combination of richness and intense minerality, finesse and serious structure. The more it ages, the more profound Clos Sainte Hune becomes.

| In great years, tiny amounts of Vendange Tardive are made. Although these bottles display huge concentration and great complexity, they're still not particularly high in residual sugar, as Trimbach vinifies them to be as dry as possible. Like other Clos Ste. Hunes, the VTs are capable of immortality.
