| We may just close shop and call it a day -- we have not tasted anything this exceptional in a long time! The 2013 Emmaline is a subtle, delicate, complex Pinot Noir. The Coastlands, just one year older, stopped us dead in our tracks.
They don’t make a lot, only 200 cases of each.

| | | 2013 Cobb Winery Sonoma CoastPinot Noir Emmaline Ann Vineyard$75 bottle Winemaker's notes: This is an elegant and thought-provoking Pinot Noir from my favorite vineyard in the Freestone Valley. On the palate, it reveals abundant dark fruit layers of black cherry and raspberry, as well as more mineral-driven notes of wet stone and slate. Racy, crisp acidity and secondary characteristics of forest floor, herbs and spice add poise and complexity to this beautiful wine. A lovely expression of a wonderful vineyard.

| | 2012 Cobb Winery Pinot NoirCoastlands Vineyard 1906 Block$75 bottle Winemaker's notes: This wine reveals bright cherry and rose petal aromas, with hints of sweet charred oak, Santa Rosa Plum, dark leather and cocoa nibs. On the palate, the cherry notes are perfectly balanced by ripe, pronounced tannins, with layers of strawberry, candied stone fruits, graphite, jasmine and sweet vanilla adding depth to a long nuanced finish.
